I believe “thank you” is one of the most underused two-word phrases in our conversations today. Although it is simple, it can profoundly impact both the speaker and the recipient. How often do you express gratitude with “thanks” or “thank you”? Children are usually taught to say “thank you” at a young age, often as a formality to show appreciation. However, as adults, we should intentionally speak these words regularly and from the heart.
GRATEFULNESS
As the holidays approach and continue into the upcoming months, I am committed to expressing my gratitude more frequently, regardless of the situation—whether it’s good or bad. I will purposefully seek out something, big or small, to be thankful for and people to whom I can say “thank you.”
If you look around and find yourself unable to see anything to be thankful for, take a moment to appreciate your “eyes,” enabling you to look around. And remember, God always sees you and is always with you.
A True “Thank You” Is A Gift To Give And A Gift To Someone To Receive.
IT’S A CONDITION OF THE HEART
“Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a Thankful Heart.” (Phil. 4:6)
During this holiday season, whether spent with family, friends, or alone, remember to “Look Up” and say two life-changing words: “Thank You.”
